This exhibit will display a series of charcoal on canvas dedicated to the Midtown District of Miami. This quarter is maybe the least known of the city because it is one of the most proletarian. Nevertheless, it is the place to discover an extraordinary example of traditional African communication thanks to the hand painted advertisements displayed on all businesses and churches of its Afro-Caribbean community. The viewer is provided with a chronicle of everyday life via figurative imagery.
